Microsoft a publié une nouvelle version « Preview » de Windows 10. Elle débarque sur le canal Dev du programme Windows Insider. Nous avons des corrections de bugs et des nouveautés.Disponible en téléchargement depuis quelques heures, Windows 10 build 20231 s’accompagne d’une nouvelle expérience OOBE. Contraction de Out of Box Experience, il s’agit de la procédure de configuration du système d’exploitation lors de son installation. Le géant introduit le choix entre différents profils d’utilisation. L’idée est de proposer des réglages et un paramétrage de l’OS en fonction des futurs usages. Nous retrouvons des thématiques comme le jeu vidéo, la création, le loisir….
Pour le moment si la nouvelle interface est en place elle ne s’accompagne d’aucun changement. Le système ne fonctionne pas encore.
Windows 10 Build 20231, nouveautés et corrections de bugs
A cela s’ajoute des améliorations autour des « associations de fichiers ». Les associations de fichiers permettent de sélectionner une application à un type de fichier. Ces choix pour les entreprises sont désormais possibles par utilisateurs et par appareil. En clair les administrateurs informatiques peuvent définir quelles applications ouvriront automatiquement différents types de fichiers ou liens. Microsoft explique
Nous avons également plusieurs autres améliorations dont les détails sont disponibles en fin d’article. Il y a par exemple Meet Now dans la barre des tâches pour les utilisateurs.“Par exemple, il est ainsi facile de définir Microsoft Edge comme navigateur par défaut de votre organisation ou d’ouvrir toujours des PDF dans l’application préférée de votre organisation. Tirer parti de cette stratégie de groupe pour le navigateur par défaut et les types de fichiers courants signifie que les utilisateurs finaux de votre organisation n’auront pas à décider eux-mêmes de ces associations par défauts.”
Nous sommes dans le cadre du programme Windows Insider et plus particulièrement du Canal Dev. Du coup le système d’exploitation n’est pas sans problème. Plusieurs bugs sont présents et sans solution pour le moment.
Enfin concernant les différentes nouveautés, nous n’avons pas de calendrier concernant leur lancement « grand public ».

Meet Now in the Windows 10 Taskbar is now available to all Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.

If you were one of the Insiders repeatedly entering a temp profile with the previous flight, please refer to the following forum post to get your profile back into a good state. If you were not impacted, this issue will not impact you in today’s flight.
We’re looking into reports of the update process hanging for extended periods of time when attempting to install a new build.

We’re working on enabling the new taskbar experience for existing pinned sites. In the meantime, you can unpin the site from the taskbar, remove it from the edge://apps page, and then re-pin the site.

We’re investigating an issue reported by some Insiders wherein the taskbar is obscuring the Power button in the Start menu. If this is happening on your PC, you may need to use the Windows key plus X menu to shutdown for the time being.
