Microsoft travaille sur une série de nouveautés concernant le service Windows Update de Windows 10. Les dernières améliorations concernent l’installation des mises à jour facultatives.
Windows 10 ne cesse d’évoluer et de s’adapter. Microsoft vient d’introduire une nouvelle section dans le service Windows Update. Elle permet de découvrir les mises à jour facultatives disponibles. Elle se situe à l’adresse suivante :
Paramètres> Mise à jour et sécurité> Windows Update> Afficher les mises à jour facultatives
Redmond travaille sur cette nouveauté au travers de la build 19536.
Disponible depuis quelques jours pour les utilisateurs inscrits sur l’anneau rapide du programme Windows Insider, elle profite d’ajustements. A ce sujet le géant explique que des améliorations spécifiques pour les pilotes sont également en cours.
Ce changement visant à déplacer les mises à jour de pilotes dans la rubrique « Mise à jour facultatives » était attendu de longue date. Pourquoi ? Les pilotes ou encore les drivers sont des éléments hautement sensibles capables en cas de bug de planter ou de rendre instable le système d’exploitation. L’utilisateur a désormais davantage de choix et surtout la main sur ce qui doit ou ne doit pas être installé.“Nous travaillons toujours pour vous permettre de voir en un seul endroit toutes les mises à jour facultatives (y compris les pilotes, les mises à jour de fonctionnalité et les mises à jour mensuelles de qualité non sécurisée). Pour les pilotes, vous n’avez plus besoin de parcourir le Gestionnaire de périphériques pour un périphérique spécifique à mettre à jour. Windows Update gardera automatiquement vos pilotes à jour. Si vous rencontrez un problème, l’un de ces pilotes optionnels pourrait vous aider.”
A ceci s’ajoute une nouvelle expérience de configuration de groupe familial.
Elle permet de configurer d’autres membres de la famille directement à partir de l’OOBE. Windows 10 build 19536 propose également des correctifs et améliorations, mais aussi des problèmes connus. Vous trouverez tous les détails en fin d’article.
L’OS s’accompagne aussi d’une mise à jour de l’application Mon Téléphone. Elle s’enrichit d’une vue Photos plus simple à utiliser avec un affichage plus rapide.
Concernant les problèmes, nous pouvons noter un souci suite à l’installation de cette version. Il entraîne un blocage du processus de mise à jour pendant plusieurs heures. Microsoft travaille sur un correctif mais nous n’avons aucune date précise.

We fixed an issue where after dragging the bottom of a UWP app up to resize it, any further resizing actions from the bottom wouldn’t work.
With this build, users who had previously used HomeGroup will no longer see a notification on upgrade about its deprecation.
We fixed a typo in the text under Settings > Search > Searching Window.

We fixed an issue where if your device was offline, Narrator would still announce that language features were available to download when you navigated to the per-language options under Language Settings.
We fixed an issue that could result in no tooltip with the full text appearing in Settings when hovering over text truncated with an ellipsis.
We’re removing the separate Hotspot 2.0 setting under Wi-Fi. This setting was provided while the feature was still in experimental phase, and having it enabled is now part of having Wi-Fi enabled.

We fixed an issue where if you rolled back the build you were on, Windows Update might still list the older build number under Update History.

BattlEye and Microsoft have found incompatibility issues due to changes in the operating system between some Insider Preview builds and certain versions of BattlEye anti-cheat software. We’re looking into reports of certain external USB 3.0 drives not responding with Start Code 10 after they’re attached.
The Optimize Drives Control Panel is incorrectly reporting that optimization has never run on some devices. Optimization is completing successfully, even though it is not reflected in the UI.
