Microsoft vient de publier de nouvelles mises à jour cumulatives dont KB4501371 pour Windows 10 October 2018 Update. Elle propose de nombreux correctifs de bug.

L’installation de KB4501371 fait évoluer le système d’exploitation en version 17763.592. Ce chiffre permet de s’assurer que l’installation s’est déroulée avec succès. Pour le vérifier il faut lancer la commande « winver.exe » dans Exécuter (WIN+R).

Nous retrouvons quelques améliorations importantes. Par exemple le navigateur Microsoft Edge est la cible d’un patch en raison d’un souci d’ouverture lors de l’utilisation d’un lien dans une application. Microsoft apporte un correctif pour Windows Media Player. Dans certains cas, le lecteur peut se bloquer lors de la lecture de fichiers multimédias en boucle. KB4501371 résout également une défaillance de l’audio sur un périphérique qui n’a pas été redémarré depuis plus de 50 jours.

A tout ceci s’ajoute des correctifs concernant des bugs introduits par de précédentes mises à jours cumulatives. Les erreurs rencontrées lors d’une tentative de couplage de périphériques Bluetooth devraient être de l’histoire ancienne.

A ce sujet, Microsoft explique
« Résolution d’un problème pouvant empêcher les pilotes « Realtek Bluetooth radio » d’établir une connexion dans certaines circonstances après l’installation de la mise à jour du 14 mai 2019. »
Tout n’est cependant pas parfait. Si aucun nouveau problème connu et non corrigé est annoncé, il y a tout de même trois soucis toujours en attente de correction.

Microsoft annonce que certaines opérations sur des fichiers et des dossiers stockés sur un volume partagé en cluster peuvent échouer. Une erreur après l’installation de cette mise à jour cumulative est possible si le périphérique est dotés de certains packs linguistiques asiatiques. Enfin un petit nombre de périphériques peut démarrer sur un écran noir lors du premier démarrage après l’installation de la mise à jour. Microsoft recommande d’effectuer un redémarrage forcé pour résoudre le problème.
