Comme promis, Microsoft a publié une nouvelle construction de Windows 10 19H1, la build 18305. Elle apporte des nouveautés et s’adresse aux utilisateurs inscrits sur l’anneau rapide du programme Windows Insider.
Windows 10 build 18305 est une version importante car il s’agit de la dernière mise à jour « majeure » de 2018. Microsoft introduit une nouvelle présentation par défaut sur la base des commentaires des utilisateurs.
Le géant explique que cette disposition de démarrage simplifiée sera disponible sur les nouveaux périphériques, les nouveaux comptes utilisateurs ou encore les installations propres du système d’exploitation.
A cela s’ajoute la fonction « Windows Sandbox » dont nous vous parlions dans cette actualité.
Windows Sandbox est un environnement de bureau léger mais surtout sécurisé. Il est conçu pour exécuter de manière isolée des applications.

Windows 10, kaomoji, Windows Defender et SMS« Windows Sandbox est un environnement de bureau isolé dans lequel vous pouvez exécuter des logiciels non fiables sans crainte de conséquences durables pour votre appareil. Tout logiciel installé dans Windows Sandbox reste uniquement dans Windows Sandbox et ne peut affecter votre hôte. Une fois Windows Sandbox fermé, tous les logiciels contenant tous ses fichiers et son état sont définitivement supprimés. »
Microsoft a également mis à jour sa fonction « Protection History experience » afin de fournir plus d’informations sur les menaces découvertes et les actions disponibles.
En clair les détections effectuées par Windows Defender Antivirus, proposeront des informations plus détaillées et plus faciles à comprendre sur les menaces et les actions disponibles.
Windows 10 build 18305 propose aux utilisateurs un accès rapide aux symboles et aux kaomoji.
Il suffit d’utiliser la combinaison de touches WIN+(period) ou WIN+(semicolon).
L’historique du presse-papiers a également été mis à jour.
Redmond souhaite prendre du recul face à l’utilisation des mots de passe. Windows 10 est désormais capable de gérer une protection par numéro de téléphone sans avoir à créer ni à gérer un mot de passe. Si vous avez un compte Microsoft avec votre numéro de téléphone, vous pouvez utiliser un code SMS pour vous connecter et configurer votre compte sous Windows 10.
Enfin quelques petites retouches d’ordre cosmétiques sont proposées notamment du côté des ombres. Il y a beaucoup d’autres modifications et améliorations générales, mais aussi des problèmes connus.

We fixed an issue where in the Details tab of Task Manager you couldn’t sort by the “Shared GPU memory” column.
We fixed an issue resulting in ShellExperienceHost.exe preventing the device from going to sleep with message “A Miracast Session is currently connected.” despite said session having already been disconnected.
We fixed an issue from the previous flight where on some systems the High Definition Audio Controller failed to start with Code 10, resulting in no audio from the onboard speakers and microphone.
Known issues
The hyperlink colors need to be refined in Dark Mode in Sticky Notes if the Insights are enabled.
The Windows Security app may show an unknown status for the Virus & threat protection area, or not refresh properly. This may occur after upgrade, restart, or settings changes.
The cmimanageworker.exe process may hang, causing system slowness or higher than normal CPU usage. This can be bypassed by rebooting the machine if it occurs.
Launching games that use BattlEye anti-cheat will trigger a bug check (green screen) – we’re investigating.
USB printers may appear twice in the Devices and Printers under Control Panel. Reinstalling the printer will resolve the issue.
We’re investigating an issue where clicking your account in Cortana Permissions isn’t bringing up the UI to sign out from Cortana (if you were already signed in) for some users in this build.
If you’re using Hyper-V and have added an external vSwitch in addition to the default, many UWP apps won’t be able to connect to the internet. Removing the additional vSwitch will resolve this.
The Task Scheduler UI may appear blank even though there are scheduled tasks. For now, you’ll need to use the command line if you want to see them.
Creative X-Fi sound cards are not functioning properly. We are partnering with Creative to resolve this issue.
When attempting to update to build 18305, some S Mode devices will download and restart, but fail the update. We are working on a fix for a future flight.
Night Light functionality has been impacted by a new bug in this build. Root cause is underway, and we expect to have this fixed in an upcoming build.
Known issues for Developers
If you install any of the recent builds from the Fast ring and switch to the Slow ring – optional content such as enabling developer mode will fail. You will have to remain in the Fast ring to add/install/enable optional content. This is because optional content will only install on builds approved for specific rings.
